Four goals from the name listed above were bring the first win for the Monash Football team in the field game this year. This win was finally bringing some joy for the Monash Football team for the year 2005. Two evenly teams were played the friendly game in this Saturday morning. Around 9 something in the morning, the players of both sides were planed to kick off the Harmony friendly game. Before this match, the Monash Football team wasn’t win a single filed match in year 2005, the players were ambitious to play and win the game, when the ball was kicked off the tempo of the match was in the slow way and controlling by the Monash team.
In the first 10 minutes, both teams were chasing the football around the midfield area and can’t really get through to opposite heart area. However the first break through in 17 minutes was from the right wing, the ball was played by Melvin to send Hin Kian off to the wide side and the ball was cut into the penalty area by Hin Kian in the process, then he passed the ball to Andrian, who was free in the penalty area that time, in the quick time he shot the ball towards the goal and the ball was backed in to the net. The dead lock was broken! 1 - 0 for Monash!
After the goal, the Indonesian team tried to attack strongly and tried to shot and try the keeper. The Monash team’s keeper was just steady and calm. Before the second goal come, both side also got the chance to score, Hin Kian was missed one chance after passed two players. Mervin also got a golden chance and was missed with the ball goes wide. Around 25 minutes in the match, once again Hin Kian get the ball in the right midfield area, after controlled the ball and looked the players around him, he sent the slight signal to Melvin to run forward, then he played the long pass to Melvin and let him chase for the ball, before the goal, Melvin was beat two defenders from the Indonesian team, and a wonderful goal was scored by him with hitting the ball to the near post. 2 - 0 for Monash!
After two goals down the Indonesian team was fiercer in the attacking line and runs a lot to chase back the score line. Just before the break, the Indonesian team was got a golden chance, which came from the mistake by Melvin who headed the ball back to Ifan and get intercept by the opposite players and the goal scorer from Indonesian team was calmly beat the keeper and placed the ball to the far side of the post. 2 - 1 going to the half time. This is the first ever time Monash leading into the second half.
In the second half, both teams switch side and compete again for the next 45 minutes. At the beginning of the second half, the Indonesian team got the chance to level up the score line with the forward runs to the goal, but fortunately Ifan the Star player for Monash team was there to clear off the ball. In just two minutes after the break, Monash team was once again going up to attack, after few passes in the midfield, Hin Kian was played a 1, 2 passes with Kok Seong in the left wing, then Hin Kian took the ball to the left side and tried to cross the ball into the center area and looked for Andrian, but the center defender for the Indonesian team was very unlucky to hand the ball inside the area. PENALTY! The penalty was then taken by Hin Kian and he sent the keeper to the wrong side and the score line was Monash leading 3 goals to 1.
After leading, the Monash team looked tired, movement for the most of the players were slower down. In the 50th minute, Indonesian team made a substitute a defender with a striker. After just 10 minutes on the field, this player proved his ability with a goal finishing in a brilliant style. This goal was closer the score line to 3 - 2, just a goal behind Monash team. With just one goal advantage, Monash team was played clamer and passed the ball around the defense line and tried to hold the score line. But few mistakes from the players were near punished by the Indonesian team, but the keeper was in good form to prevent the equalizing goal come. In the 20 minutes before the end of the match, both teams got few more chances but none of them took the chance. For Monash team, Kok Seong, Mervin, Andrian also got few chances but the luck just wasn’t being their side.
Before the whistle sounds, Monash team once again got the ball in the center and distributed by Melvin to Hin Kian to the right side, Hin Kian took the ball and ran with two defenders into the penalty area, then the ball was played to the player who was free in the area and then in the quick time the player shot towards the goal and the ball hit the inside of the right post before went in to the net, MERVIN the player finally score! 4 - 2 for the score line and the whistle were come just after the goal. Then the players from both sides were showed the well sportsmanship and the meaning behind the match — Friendly with shaking hands! This friendly match end with the harmonies ad a happy day for the Monash team to welcome their first win in the year 2005.
After assisted three, scored one from the spot, and finally tasted the joy of win, I might be the happiest man in the field, although these few weeks, many of the upsetting incidents occurs on me, but I decided to enjoy my day with the win of football and forget those irritating things and leave them behind me! YEAH!
